Dachstein Glacier crossing - each Thursday

 25 km fascinating ski &  nature experience  -  breathtaking land scapes  -  exhilarating  -  fantastc

Demanded skiing level: good intermediate, firm on parallel skiing in intermediate steep terrain.

Equipment:  normal skis,  warm clothing,  sunglasses or goggles, sun crème, drinks, bred roll, fruit

Route: From Ramsau with the cable car to the Dachstein glacier (2700m). We start with a test run on the slopes of the glacier. From the top of the T-bar we enter the off piste terrain of the Hallstätter glacier.  Now we experience the thrill and freedom of off piste skiing. The terrain is not very steep. The ski tour involves approx. 80% of downhill skiing and approx. 20% of walking. We carry the skis on our shoulders.

After 2 to 2,5 hrs. we stop at a mountain hut for lunch. At the end of the tour we will enjoy one of the longest packed downhill runs in Austria.  From Krippenstein to Obertraun at the lake Hallstatt.

A pre arranged bus takes as back to Ramsau (100 km)
